Whats In A Name - Why Krystal Dew

About ten years ago my wife was setting up a business to sell jewellery that she was making using semi precious stones. We came up with the name Crystal Dew Ltd, for this company.

Crystal, partly because she was working with crystals in her jewellery, but also because crystals have pure structures with interesting properties with respect to focusing energy and light. So a crystal is symbolic of purity and clarity.

Dew, because the morning dew always makes us think of something fresh and new.

Unfortunately we never got this business off the ground, I got busy with some large engineering projects and it fell by the wayside as other life events took our attention.

In the intervening years I became increasingly passionate with creative writing and photography as with the advent of digital cameras, I rediscovered my love of photography. I became totally absorbed with the extraordinary beauty of this existence and wanted to share that beauty through my writing and photography.

When the time came to set up a new company to start selling my collection of digital images I naturally thought of the same company name as it was equally applicable to my focus on sharing the beauty of existence as it was to selling jewellery.The name changed to Krystal with a K due to domain name availability.

So there you have it Krystal Dew Ltd – A fresh new clarity.
