Beneath The Light Of The Moon
After a month of wet and unsettled weather we finally had a couple of fine clear evenings which just happened to coincide with a fresh fall of snow on the mountain and a full moon so naturally, while sensible people stay home and go to bed, I've been out and about with my camera finding the best spots to take night photos of Taranaki.
Secrets Of The Night
Snow clad slopes glowing
beneath the arc of Te Rewa Rewa bridge.
Luminous in the moonlight.
City lights on the coast,
lighthouse shining at the cape.
Taranaki standing silent beneath the moon.
The beauty of the night opening
a path through conscious awareness
leading into the depths of the soul.

Taranaki rising high above the city and the Waiwhakaio river
New Plymouth city lights, the power station chimney and Taranaki on the horizon from the top of Paritutu rock.
Looking west along the coast from the top of Paritutu rock.
Taranaki glowing in the moonlight, towering above the city. From Paritutu rock
