Description
The super blue blood moon on 31 Jan 2018. So named due to the close approach of the moon to the earth (super), 2nd full moon in the same month (blue) and a total lunar eclipse (blood). The blue colouring in this photo is, I believe, caused by chromatic aberation due to the sharp contrast betwen the lit and shadowed parts of the moon but is quite appropriate for a super blue blood moon.
